Profile
Hi, My name is Ryoichi Hiraoka. I live in Hiroshima, Japan. This time, I visited Okayama, which is the prefecture next to Hiroshima.
This article shows Bitchu Matsuyama Castle.
The Briefly Explanation

The castle is on the summit of Mt. Komatsu at an altitude of about 430m. The castle was built in 1240. The castle is the only existing mountain castle in Japan that has a castle tower.
You have to climb a little mountain from the parking lot to the castle. It takes about 20 minutes on foot.
The Stone Wall
The stone wall that is characteristic of the castle has come into view.
The Castle Tower
This is the castle tower.

As you can see, it’s surrounded by mountains.
Inside the Castle Tower
You can enter the castle tower for a fee. The entrance fee was 500 yen for me.
From here it will be the image inside the castle tower. The soles of my feet were cold because I had to take off my shoes.
A Hearth
This is a hearth.
The Guardian
This enshrines the guardian deity of the castle.
Around The Castle
This is the double turret on the back of the castle tower.
It seems that there are other castle ruins along this road. However, it was a dark road with no people, so I turned back on the way.
I will show you halfway through the road.
The End
This is the end of the article. If you come to Okayama someday, why not stop by Bitchu Matsuyama Castle.
